It shows you what you really believe.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve surprised myself countless times, when I\u2019ve read what I thought I believed, only to realize that my ideas were only partly developed.<\/p>\n<p>Writing forces me to go deeper\u2014clarify, differentiate, and evaluate\u2014to weigh the truth of my ideas. Then I can connect those ideas to express my thoughts, within a whole perspective that is is true to my beliefs.<\/p>\n<p>Virginia Woolf was right.
